Escribir una idea audiovisual o pensada para poner en escena en lenguaje cinematográfico, requiere algo más que inspiración y mucho trabajo. ¿Está el creador preparado para enfrentar los grandes retos que ofrece la industria? Es por esa razón que el desarrollo del proyecto cinematográfico o la incubadora de ideas para el mundo audiovisual, es un gran salto , frente a ese concepto de lucha solitaria de los creadores guionistas que quieren llegar al cine por todos los medios posibles. El Laboratorio de lenguaje audiovisual y creación de ideas para cine es un espacio abierto a todo el público de habla hispana residente en los Estados Unidos.  Escritores de cortometrajes, series de tv, largometrajes y otros géneros, de habla hispana que vivan Nueva York o el área Tri-estatal, tendrán en Felt su primer laboratorio de escrituras creativas y desarrollo de proyectos audiovisuales.

A simple eclectic approach to acting drawing from various acting techniques.
This class will cover improvisation techniques, scene and monologue study.

The workshop will encourage the student's sense of play, freedom and spontaneity.

Gloria Zelaya is Artistic Producing Director, and a founder of The Fantastic Experimental Latino Theater Inc. (FELT).  Co-Theatre Arts Director and a founder of Around the Block. Ms. Zelaya studied Theater Arts both in NYC and in France (where she was awarded scholarship by the French government).   She has directed (two Summer Tours) and taught acting at Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre.  As a director she has collaborated with several other companies, including Intar, La MaMa ETC, Mass Transit, The Women’s Project, Theater for the New City, New World Theater, Duo Theater, Urban Youth Theater. With FELT she presented at TeatroStageFest (The Golden Cacao Bean), also presented at the International Fringe Festival; Samuel Becket Theater as part of the Evening Shades festival in NYC; Talia Spanish Theater; Samuel French Festival. She received the Best Director ACE Award in 2006 for the French Comedy The Little Hut  (Latin American Theater Ensemble). For FELT and Around the Block, she has staged many successful productions. As an actress she has appeared in films like: Lobo an Orisha tale,  15th New York Havana Film Festival, Miami International Science Film. Best supernatural film. On the Outs, Slamdance film festival. Deauville winner of the Grand Jury Prize.  Changing Diego, NYC Downtown feature film festival. Co producer of the film: I am Julia. Winner 2012 Mexico International Film Festival Golden Palm Award. Nominated  Queens World International Film Festival – Best short narrative.  Official Selection 2011 Big Apple Film Festival.

 Palmieri has produced short films “Datin Marvin” which will have it’s world premier at the 68 Cannes Film Festival,”Locked in You”, “Underwater”, “Meet Me Here” and “Derailing” in which she also played the lead.  Monica worked as Line Producer alongside award winning director Deborah Kampmeier for feature film “Split”.  She has worked as Production Manager for “MTV Untitled Fashion Pilot” and Lorelei Taron and soccer player Falcao’s music video “No me rendire” . She was Assistant Director for Wu-Tang Clan ‘s documentary promo video.    Monica is a Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute alumni. As well as Marcelle Bonge Ballet Company (where she danced for 16 years).
